Informational
Seminars:
Upon request,
Achieve Results Physical Therapy offers informational seminars to
the dance community. Seminars are tailored to your needs and could
include information geared towards dancers, dance educators, or
danceline, parents and competition teams. Common topics include
injury prevention, nutrition concerns for dancers, strength and
flexibility training methods, readiness for pointe and anatomy of
dance movement. Please call for questions or pricing detail.
Be Wary Of:
• Repetitively
increasing pain while dancing.
• Pain
that lasts for days after participating in dance class.
• Repetitive
ankle sprains, as this can lead to weakness in the
ankles
and greater incidence of injury in the future.
• Overly
aggressive healthcare professionals that don’t educate you
on your condition or prevention of further occurrences. Achieve
Results Physical Therapy will perform a comprehensive examination
to define not just the area of pain but what is actually
causing it.
• Facilities
that solely use modalities such as ultrasound or electrical
stimulation without any hands on therapy.
